Feature Ideas to Improve Export in eDirectory

Suggestion:
After managing thousands of listings, I’ve found that the current export function in eDirectory could be improved to better support power users and administrators.

Proposed Improvements:

1. Export All Listings in One Go

   • Allow exporting of all listings in one action, without batching or relying on cron jobs for larger datasets.

2. Add Export Filters

   • Let users select filters before export:

     • Listing Level (Free vs Paid)

     • Active vs Inactive Listings

     • Date Range (e.g. created or updated within a time frame)

     • Country, State, City

     • Category or Keyword tags

3. Preview Export Before Download

   • Show a preview table or record count so admins can confirm the export will meet their needs before downloading.

4. CSV Field Customization

   • Let users select which fields to include or exclude (checkbox-style UI).

   • Save export templates for repeatable tasks.

5. Export Logs & History

   • Maintain a log of export actions with filename, size, record count, and who exported it (useful for tracking team actions).

6. Faster UI Export for Small Data Sets

   • If fewer than X records are selected (e.g. 5,000), run export instantly instead of background cron.

7. Better Export Status Feedback

   • Current feedback is limited or unclear. Add export progress bar, estimated time, or clearer success/error messaging.

Why This Matters:
For admins managing many listings, especially in directories with thousands of records, exports are a key task. Improving this function would save time, reduce errors, and make large-scale management far more efficient.
